Guidance and Steadiness
When someone you love passes away, finding the right words can feel like an impossible task. At Tree & Compass, I believe a funeral shouldn’t be a transactional event. It should be a rooted, authentic tribute that reflects the unique story of a life. My role is to act as your Compass—providing gentle guidance through the planning process without rush or pressure—to ensure the final farewell is as steady and enduring as a Tree.

About Frank
Many of you may know me through my work in education as a Teacher and the Centre Director for a tutoring company in Kilmarnock and Troon.
My entire career has been built on helping people find their voice and communicating with clarity and empathy.
I also work within the funeral industry for local funeral directors, which gives me a unique 'insider’s' understanding of the logistics and care required to make a service run seamlessly.
I’ve combined this professional experience with a passion for storytelling to help families navigate these difficult moments with heart and steadiness.
Living in Galston and originally from Clydebank, I am proud to serve my local communities across the West and Central Belt.
A Journey of Service
From the SEC Armadillo to the Quiet Dignity of Funerals and Memorials
This video bridges two defining moments in my professional journey. It begins with a recent introduction followed by a speech I delivered at the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow for the 75th anniversary of the Clydebank Blitz.
Proven Presence
Though I was a first-time speaker facing an audience of three thousand, that address set the standard for my career. It shows the level of responsibility and sincere respect I bring to the spoken word—even under significant pressure.
A Steady Hand
In the decade since, my work in education has refined my voice and my ability to guide others with empathy and calm. Today, I bring that same dedication to Tree & Compass, ensuring every funeral or memorial service is personal, dignified, and crafted with absolute care.
How Can I Support You?
Every life is a unique journey, and every farewell should reflect that. Whether you are looking for a traditional service, a modern celebration of life, or a quiet private moment, I provide professional celebrancy for all settings across the West of Scotland. My services include:
-
Crematorium Services: A dignified and personal tribute within a traditional chapel setting, focused on the legacy and personality of your loved one.
-
Graveside Burials: Respectful outdoor ceremonies at any cemetery or natural burial site, designed to honor the 'roots' and values of the person you've lost.
-
Memorials & Celebration of Life: Creative, bespoke ceremonies held in homes, community venues, or outdoor locations. These are perfect for when you want to celebrate a life without the time constraints of a crematorium.
-
Ashes Interments & Scattering: Small, intimate ceremonies to provide a sense of closure when returning a loved one’s remains to the earth or sea.
-
Pre-Need Planning: For those who wish to have their own 'Compass' set in advance, I can help you draft your own story and wishes to give your family peace of mind for the future.
Note: Personal details have been changed or removed from the sample script to protect privacy. Removal indicated by use of square brackets "[ ]"
